All of you moms out there
In the States,
Canada,
Or elsewhere
Listen to what
I have to say
It’s okay
If you fail at being a mom
From time to time
It’s fine.
It’s great if you try
To be the kind of mom
Who comforts their kids when they cry
Or are angry
Or stressed
Or not at their best.
It’s great if you see
What your kids can be
One day
If they wish to go
Live their dreams
Support them so
And tell them they can do it
If they strive to work to it.

But. . .

Most important of all
Never forget
To remind them of their need for God
Lest they stumble and fall
And have nowhere to run
And that’s no fun.
Train them up in the way
They should go
And when they are old
They will not turn away
From the Life, the Truth, and the Way
Overstate on how they
Should life a life pleasing to Him
And tell them
They should follow Him
Always
And never forsake
Him for the world
For what is the price
Of the world worth
If they gain it all
But lose their soul?
