How do I stay motivated when learning something new?
Hmmm. This prompt is a real cause-you-to-think. But the methods I have for motivating myself when learning something new are these two:
- I either force myself to listen and learn the subject when it doesn’t interest me.
- I eagerly jump to action and am all ears when I find something that does interest me.
Motivation happens in your brain and your mind. When you find something that truly intrigues you and you really want to know more about it, you’re enthusiastic and you can’t wait to start delving into the learning.Β On the other side of the coin, if you’re downright disinterested in something, such as learning all the formulas in algebra (I hated doing that!), then you will not be as intrigued by learning it. Your interest will be zero. Nada.
