Wings of Dawn

The beautiful sunset’s golden-tipped sky
The moonlit-bathed eagle soaring by
The burned-out stars that now are gone
All will sing of the wings of dawn.

The sweet-faced children playing alone
The rich-robed king on his golden throne
The silky doe with her wobbly-legged fawn
All of them sing of the wings of dawn.

The puppies wrestling and wriggling around
The scorpions and animals who live in the ground
The rustling leaves, the grassy lawn
All will proclaim of the wings of dawn.

Brick by Brick

You built these walls up so high
You don’t know if you’ll ever
Be able to get out.

You built these walls brick by brick. . .
Not out of thoughtlessness. . .
But of your own free will.

You wanted to stay inside.
You wanted to hide.
You wanted to stay in your grave.

Jesus the Christ, the Lord of all
He’s Messiah, He’s here to call
You out of your tomb
Because He’s the One Who saves!

Heed the Call

If you say you walk

In the Lord’s light

But leave behind

The Devil’s night

If you say you know

That God loves you

And that He’s there

Yes, He hears you

But you push Him away

Because of pain

You see no blue skies

Only heavy rain

I say, giving up

Is not an option

Because He’s been there

Through thick and thin

Through highs and lows

Yes, He’s seen you

He knows just what

You’re going through

Because He is God

And He knows all

So walk in faith

And heed His call.
