Jesus, the Meaning of Life!

What is the meaning of life?

The meaning of life is to bring glory to God and to enjoy a deep, intimate relationship with Him through His Son, Christ Jesus. Life is not merely a coincidence; each person and object has a specific purpose while we are here on this earth.

There are many who believe life is random and not guided by a wise and loving Creator, such as secularists and agnostics, even evolutionists. But life evolving or appearing randomly out of nothing is about as likely as a million spelling mistakes producing a novel or a thousand mathematical errors producing a functioning cell phone. Surely, God is the Artisan, and we are His masterpieces!

The Joy of Drawing

What’s a simple pleasure in life that brings me joy?

Drawing is one of many things in life that bring me joy. I’ll sit down with my sketchbook and colored pencils and doodle the hours away. I’ll imagine a scene in my mind, whether it be a sunset, a horse, or even a Kirby character. . .and I’ll draw (although I’m better at imagining than drawing what I imagine, ha ha.)

Anyway, I can dream and draw and be as happy as a clam. And that’s just fine with me. . .

Dis- or Interest?

How do I stay motivated when learning something new?

Hmmm. This prompt is a real cause-you-to-think. But the methods I have for motivating myself when learning something new are these two:

  1. I either force myself to listen and learn the subject when it doesn’t interest me.
  2. I eagerly jump to action and am all ears when I find something that does interest me.

Motivation happens in your brain and your mind. When you find something that truly intrigues you and you really want to know more about it, you’re enthusiastic and you can’t wait to start delving into the learning.Β  On the other side of the coin, if you’re downright disinterested in something, such as learning all the formulas in algebra (I hated doing that!), then you will not be as intrigued by learning it. Your interest will be zero. Nada.

Myself

What’s a mystery from my own life that I’ve never solved?

Myself.

I can’t explain why I think the way I do, why I act the way I do, why I feel the way I do, why I change the way I do. I can’t explain why certain songs seem to evoke mood swings in me or how thinking about certain subjects such as Kirby can uplift my spirits. I can’t explain why I occasionally behave so irrationally over the silliest things and say things I know are harming toward others, and I definitely can’t explain how I am so the clutter type and yet suddenly one day get into an obsessive cleaning mood!

Myself is indeed a mystery
That will likely never be solved
You are to you as I am to me
Forever this myst’ry will be unresolved.

Kirby of the Stars!

What’s a thing I was completely obsessed with as a kid?

The thing I was most obsessed with as a young childβ€”and still am now, to be honestβ€”is Kirby. Kirby practically rocked my life! It started out small with the video games and then grew from there. When I was twelve, I created Starmonia, my first noncanon Kirby character, and discovered the anime. From these discoveries were born a whole new idea of bookwriting about the Kirby seriesβ€”The Adventures of Starmonia!

Understand this, thoughβ€”never let your passions take over your love for God. If God is the One who gave you the ideas for your dreams, then live them out for His glory! He knows where your dreams will take you if you trust Him. Don’t let anyone else tell you otherwise!

My Ideal World

If I had to describe my ideal life, what would it look like?

Hmmm. . .toughie. There are a million possibilities I could choose from. But I’m going to shoot straight and try to jumble together at least three things that would make my ideal life.

  1. Talking animals (and I’m not talking about parrots). Imagine how seriously cool it would be to wake up to your dog standing by your bedside and saying, “Good morning, owner! Have a nice sleep?”
  2. Owning a horse. I don’t own any kind of horse at the moment, but I’m hoping to save enough to get one. Now all I have to do is find a place to house it!
  3. Everyone getting along and no one having fights. Imagine how neat it would be if no one ever fought together or badmouthed each other!

These, however, are unattainable fantasies (at least some are). But there is good news. There is a perfect life where no one will ever fight, never murder, never steal, never gossip. And that place is called Heaven.

This world has fallen into sin and despair and only God can turn an evil, corrupted universe into a beautiful, glorious haven. If we believe, trust, and obey that Jesus is God, that He died for our sins, was buried, and rose again for us, and that He is the true Son of God and the only Savior of the world, you shall be saved. And when you die, you shall go to that ideal place where nothing bad or sad will ever happen again. It is a world of eternal bliss and beauty beyond our thinking.
