Which book could I read over and over again?
The Bronze Bow, by Elizabeth Speare. It’s a perfect portrayal of Bible times in Jesus’ day and it teaches a powerful lesson of hope and forgiveness.
The story follows Daniel bar Jamin, an 18-year-old Jewish boy consumed by hatred for the Romans after witnessing his father’s crucifixion, who joins an outlaw band led by Rosh to seek vengeance. Daniel’s journey transforms from a desire for violent revenge to an understanding ofΒ love and forgiveness after he is forced to return home to care for his traumatized, demon-possessed sister, Leah, and eventually meetsΒ Jesus of Nazareth.Β Along with his friends, Joel bar Hezron and his sister Malthace (Thacia), they work together to find the answers to their questions and the cures to their problems. I highly recommend the story for anyone who hasn’t read it!
