Hello, everyone! I am a Kirby fan and Christian who loves to draw, write, and act. I believe in miracles, faith, and the reality of God's Word. I also love horses, my church, and most of all, Jesus! He is the reason I am able to live the impossible in every day.

“Dreams of Shadow”

They’re in your head

You can’t awake

You’re too afraid

Unable to shake

The dreams that hold you

Captive and bound

That seal you in shadow

That engulf and surround

Your heart and soul

Your body and mind

You’re scared to death

Just want to leave ’em behind.

The thoughts you hide

You can’t deny

They haunt you daily

And stifle your cry

For help, your silent plea

That carries for miles

In the depths of your mind

But no one can hear

You’ve been left behind

To the mercy of the shadows.

They’ll show you none

But haunt you till

You drive them away

Not of your will

But your Father’s alone.

He sits on high

On His heavenly throne

With his Son, Jesus Christ

The One Who died

And paid the heavy price

So we now abide

In His heavenly abode

Eternally.

Amen.

Prayer and the Bible

Daily writing prompt
What strategies do you use to cope with negative feelings?

I’m not normally one to get anxious or stressed very much like some. Sometimes I do, but thankfully, my Heavenly Father is the one whom I can run to. He helps me, preserves me and comforts me in times of trouble. I’ve lost count of how many prayers He’s answered in my life or how many times He’s spoken to me.

Trust me. . .God is the cure for all stress and anxiety.

Nothing else will help.

And I know that because. . .

I have experienced it for myself.

And I’m not the only one.

Writing and Drawing

Daily writing prompt
What activities do you lose yourself in?

Writing and drawing are the two activities I lose myself in. I love to write and draw (see above). Time flies when you’re having fun, as the old saying goes, and I know that I definitely don’t have to be a good artist or author to enjoy doing what I love.

So follow your dreams, because one day you may change the world with your talents. Don’t listen to what others say about you. Think on YOUR creative talent, because you may have something no one else does.

God bless.

“Final Defeat”

Hey!

Don’t you try to fool me with your lies
You’ll never be able to trip me up
You can try, and try, and try, and try
But my Father’s not giving up

Hey!

Run, run, Devil, run back to the grave
Our Father is here, He has come to save
Run back home, you and your fleet
For you have suffered your final defeat!

Hey!

The battle is over, it’s already won
Don’t you try to put up a fight
Hey! Devil, you’re dead and done
By my Father’s power and might!

Hey!

Run, run, Devil, run back to the grave
Our Father is here, He has come to save
Run back home, you and your fleet
For you have suffered your final defeat!

Hey!

All those who are broken, listen, please
My Father can be your Father too
Oh, won’t you fall before Him, on your knees
And let Him redeem and regenerate you?

Hey!

Run, run, Devil, run back to the grave
Our Father is here, He has come to save
Run back home, you and your fleet
For you have suffered your final defeat!

Oh, run back home, you and your fleet
For you have suffered your final defeat!

Hallelujah!

Writing Books

I have always yearned to be an author. When I was little, I loved writing books. The “books” were really just notebook papers secured together with Scotch tape and had a chapter per page. The spelling and grammar were ugly, and the stories made no sense. But to my five- or six-year-old self, they were the most awe-inspiring books on Earth.

As I got older and learned more and more about grammar and even took English, I realized how horrid my first efforts at writing books truly were. How in the world could I have even thought those insignificant, one-chapter-on-each-page books were grandiose? The first books were total bombs, and even though I took English and learned all the grammar my brain could hold, they were still pretty awful. Still one chapter per page, still taped together with flimsy Scotch tape.

Then I took to reading. I pored over mystery stories, adventure stories, fanfictions, allegories, and Christian fiction. But my greatest interest was Kirby. I decided to work in that particular area and turn a charming game into a Christian fiction manifesto. I wanted to strive hard to truly be a great author.

But the question I often ask quiz myself on is: Why do I write?

It took me a while to come up with an answer, but then I finally perceived.

The reason I write is straightforward: I love to write. I enjoy writing. I have a passion for writing. I believe God has called me to write. I am not like C.S. Lewis or Carolyn Keene, but I have my own unique style of writing.

So as long as I am alive and breathing, I will try my best to make great book(s).

Especially if it involves Kirby.

Alaskan Malamute

Daily writing prompt
Which animal would you compare yourself to and why?

I would compare myself to a husky. Not just any husky, but most importantly, the Alaskan Malamute. (I write about one of these dogs at starmonia.wordpress.com). These strong, amazing dogs are larger and more powerful than the Siberian Husky, built for pulling heavy loads over short distances. They are known for their wolf-like appearance and strong independent nature.Β

Alaskan MalamutesΒ are large, powerful working dogs originally bred for hauling heavy freight across Arctic terrain.Β They are known for theirΒ thick double coat, which provides great insulation against extreme cold, and theirΒ muscular, sturdy buildΒ with a deep chest and strong legs designed for endurance and strength.Β

I guess I, like the Alaskan Malamute, can be strong-willed and stubborn at times. I wish to do what I want, ignoring the words of others how tell me how I should walk a certain path. But I am also kind, friendly, affectionate, and outgoing, and I am willing to walk with someone in their darkest time or brightest side. Just like the Alaskan Malamute.

But I am also independent. I detest being kept in the “cage” of life, always wanting to be free and accomplish my best interests in life. Sometimes I stray out of the boundaries and go too far, but God always calls me back, like the master does to the Alaskan Malamute.

God created Malamutes and humans for a purpose, and that is to glorify Him. The only difference between man and the animals is that humans are created in God’s image and have a soul. Still, both are unique and wonderfully reveal the superb handiwork of our Father.

Malamutes can teach us a lot.

And so can God.
