What makes me nervous?
Being watched. It’s eerie. I’ll be in the store or walking down the street and this random man or woman will either be behind me or in front of me, somehow ending up in every place I am. They’ll be watching me, marking my every move. It’s just weird as heck. And don’t even get me started on being chased by creeps occasionally. Now that’s terrifying. Nothing has ever happened to me, but still, I think a few of us can relate to being spied upon or pursued by desultory people.
Thankfully, God is by my side no matter where I go. He watches over me and keeps me safe. As the psalmist says in Psalms 121:5-8 (NIV): “The LORD watches over you— the LORD is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life; the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.” We don’t need to fear any evil on this earth, for the Light of the world is residing with us.
