Believing in Yourself

What’s a decision I made in the past that helped me to learn or grow?

Believe in yourself.

Yep. Believe in yourself.

I have always wanted to be a writer. . .and I am one at this moment. But the core values of writing were not always obvious to me. At one point, I wrote just for fun. At another, I wrote hoping to get better at it and maybe win a few awards one day. Now I write merely because I enjoy it and to teach others about God.

But in between, I had my doubts.

I still do, honestly.

There are days when I want to step back from the keyboard and quit.

Days when I critically survey my own writing and hate it.

Days I think I’m no good at writing when I compare my work and someone else’s.

But I never quit.

Why?

Because I can’t.

I made the writer’s commitment. . .and now I have to stick to it.

I will stick to it.

I am good at writing.

I will not believe the lies in my head.

Believe in yourself. . .
